That depends on what fonts and theme you are using. You can just go into Settings and set the font as you like (have you tried JuliaMono, btw?)
As for highlighting themes, some of them exist for both editors. What do you use? Have you tried searching for themes to install?
I guess it’s hard to understand what the problem is. Are you having trouble finding the theme picker and the marketplace, or the font settings? There’s a command palette just like in Atom that easily lets you search for all of those.
