[Discourse] Can't include links in my post

Hello!

I just tried to post an announcement of a new package, but when I tried to publish it, I got this message:

Sorry, you can’t include links in your post.

This is a new account, maybe that’s why? I was hoping some moderator could take a look. I’m not a spammer :))

Welcome to the community!

Yes, very new members are not allowed to share links. I do not know how to fix that. But you could write your post and enclose your links in back-ticks, for example. Then I could create an answer to your post with clickable links.

Ok, great! I’ll post it in just a moment.

I think it takes like 3 days and/or a couple of read topics or something low-level like that for you to increase the trust level and then you should be able to.

Edit: Looked it up:

Get to trust level 1 by…

  • Entering at least 5 topics
  • Reading at least 30 posts
  • Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts
