cant start julia in juno

New to Julia

Just downloaded Juno and Julia will not start. Win 10. No messages at all just no response in repl. Followed instructions on Juno site exactly
Latest version as of Aug 9 2018. The path to Julia was not correct but I corrected it but no luck. terminal repl OK.

Does not make me feel very confident. Notice other people with same problem but their answers have not helped.

Also tried to sign up for Juliabox but get only site errors.

Reminds me of early days of Python

Which version of Julia?

It currently works with Julia v0.6.x and v0.7.0 but not yet with Julia v1.0.0.
