The Julia Language was recently selected as an Open Source org to mentor students as part of the MLH Fellowship. You can read more about MLH and the Fellowship here.
We are looking for mentors who are active in the open-source Julia community (i.e. maintainers of Julia Packages) to commit to ~4-5 hours a month of project planning. Mentors will plan out sprints for the fellows and then help review PR’s and such. This program, from the mentor side, is notably much less involved than GSoC so we are hoping to bring in new mentors. Fellows will have full-time engineering support from someone at MLH.
