I was at the chicago trading show to spread the julia word. It’s used in fintech in Chicago but I’m trying to get the grass roots word going. See if the python devs want to look at a non gil world. I also handed out the local chicago julia evangelist’s email to people I thought would give him the most bang for his time buck.
I’m using youtube videos for geniebuilder, dataframesmeta and plutonote books to start to address the citizen programmer ( no/low code).
My personal goal is to consider IF the Chicago julia dev community can support a fintech I am considering starting OR do we have to look to Dallas/Stanford. I REALLY hope not. If I were to do this in Python/C++ I’d probably have a mvp by now.
