Pluto: does mardown needs a local installation of LaTeX?

Hi all,

I have a local installation of LaTeX on my computer, and Pluto markdown is running smoothly. I am going to ask a lot of students to install Pluto, and most of them do not have a LaTeX local installation on their computers. I would be grateful if someone could tell me whether Pluto does require a local installation of LaTeX or if it works on its own.

Pluto uses MathJax to display LaTeX, so no, they won’t need a LaTeX installation.
