Hi all,
I’d like to announce two open PhD positions for which I am the lead supervisor. Both would be fully with Julia, and both would be contributing partly to the development of new features for DynamicalSystems.jl and Associations.jl. Please do disseminate within your networks, as some background in Julia or in open source code development will be considered a benefit!
Both positions are related with clouds and climate, but the approach is quite different. One is focused on critical transitions in dynamical systems, and the other in associational (causal) timeseries analysis. The post advertisements are as follows:
- Probabilistic approaches to tipping points in natural systems with application
to cloud transitions: EPSRC DLA funded PhD Studentship | University of Exeter (click my project from the 5 listed in the bullet point list) - Causal Cloud Controlling Factors: NERC GW4+ DTP PhD studentship | University of Exeter
Deadline for both is early January.
