Southern California Julia Users Meetup: 14th May 2019

I’m excited to announce a resumption of the Southern California Julia Users Meetups. The next meeting will be 6:30pm on Tuesday 14th May 2019, at the CliMA house on 516 S Catalina Ave, Pasadena 91106 (just next to the Caltech campus).

Valentin Churavy from MIT will be speaking on “Static walks through a dynamic compiler”, and will be followed by short format lightning talks (open to any attendees).

Unfortunately I don’t have access to the meetup group, so until then please reply here or message me directly Please reply to the meetup link (see below) if you can attend so I have a rough idea of numbers.

Do we have any idea of the geographical distribution of users in SC? I wonder if the fair center is really at Caltech?

Probably not (I know we also have users also at Irvine and UCLA, and obviously UCSD), but it is where I have access to a meeting room.
