@JohnnyChen94 – this is a fantastic idea! I have been working in the background on this Creating a Julia Community Fund! in collaboration with @kimauth @logankilpatrick and @viralbshah . We have set-up under NumFOCUS and have our funding portal set-up on OpenCollective. Would be nice if we could potentially find a way to support one another as it seems like we have some overlap!
