If you are a project maintainer/contributor, it would be awesome to tag a few beginner issues with the “hacktoberfest” tag on GitHub so we can attract some new folks to your projects and the greater Julia Ecosystem. What kinds of issues are ideal? I see you said beginner issues. Should they be beginner in the Julia user sense and also beginner in the domain they are contributing too?
I have lots of stuff I could tag, but it would be fun to do some PRs for other people.
Also should we not start until the event begins?
I think the issues could be either beginner in the Julia sense or beginner in the actual domain. I would suggest starting to tag now so you have issues in place for when October rolls around.
