If you want to participate as a maintainer and have your hacktoberfest tagged issues show up here: https://julialang.org/hacktoberfest/ simply add the hacktoberfest label to your repo. It would be great to try and get as many issues as possible tagged (preferably with additional context as to how a new contributor can tackle the issue) so we can bring news folks into the community.
We could also host a hackathon on https://Gather.town later this month if folks are interested (cc @kslimes).
