This is the start of a new series: The Munich-Social series. We want to meet in-person and do some Julia stuff together.
With this JuliaUserGroupMunich has now three parallel series:
- Share&Code, where speakers are invited
- Fall-in-love-with-Julia, where I myself am presenting 101 introductions
Munich-Social: Google’s Coding Competitions with Julia
Let’s use Julia on some well-prepared example problems. We want to take a grasp at Google’s Coding Competitions. That itself is fun, and maybe you yourself may one day win a position on a Google Competitions’ leaderboard .
We will together solve some problems from the kickstart competitions. You may want to create an account at Kick Start - Google’s Coding Competitions, but it is not required as all competition information will be shared.
• bring your laptop
• install Julia 1.8 on your system. You can download it from Download Julia
• install VSCode with julia extension. See Julia in Visual Studio Code for instructions.
18:15 - 19:45: Welcome socializing.
Thanks to Max Plank Institute for Physics we have some free food and drinks
19:45 - 21:30: Coding together - Solving a kickstart competition
This is like training for a competition, there is no real competition happening, so all is friendly and relaxed
We meet at the Max Planck Institute for Physics at Föhringer Ring 6, 80805 München
Registration at meetup is required due to Corona.
Free food and drinks !
Looking forward to meet you again in person,
