I am from matlab and find julia a very difficult language. Is there any good book introducing julia for scientific computing?

I have found “Algorithms with JULIA” by Clemens Heitzinger very helpful. (Springer 2022) It is aimed at scientific programming but I think it also gives good clear pictures of how Julia really works… HTH

Not sure if it is good (I don’t want to toot my own horn), but recently I wrote a book (desktop publishing) Romeo and Julia, where Romeo is Basic Statistics. You may give it a try.
It is listed at julialang.org and is available freely under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
