Hey all,
We are super excited to share that this summer is our largest Summer of Code (combined Julia Summer of Code and Google Summer of Code) to date.
- We are mentoring 23 projects directly under the Julia Language: Google Summer of Code through Google Summer of Code
- Mentoring 4 students though Julia Summer of Code:
- Abdulrhman Ghanem, Julia VSCode Improvements
- Som Vishwas Tambe, Differentiable Computer Vision in Julia
- Sambhaw Kumar, XLNet - A Generalized Autoregressive Pretraining Model for JuliaText
- Sumantrak Mukherjee, In-processing Methods for fairness in Machine Learning
- SciML is mentoring 7 students:
- SciML : Discretizations of partial differential equations
- GSoC Proposal: Multi-Start Optimization Methods
- Neural Hybrid Differential Equations and Adjoint Sensitivity Analysis
- Efficient Spatial Simulations in DiffEqJump
- Parameter Identifiability with ModelingToolkit.jl
- Adding Integro Differential Equations and Improving symbolic representation of geometry in PINNs
- Efficient Spatial Simulations in DiffEqJump
- JuMP.jl has 1 project: Expanding support for the solution of bilevel optimization problems in JuMP.
- Gridap.jl has 2 projects: A fast finite element interpolator in Gridap.jl and [Gridap] Visualizing PDE approximations in Julia with Gridap.jl and Makie.jl
- OpenCV is mentoring 1 Julia project: OpenCV bindings for Julia
- PostgreSQL also has 1 Julia project: Create procedural language extension for the Julia programming language
There are also a few projects exploring Julia implementations that are not strictly Julia projects.
As you can see, this is going to be a huge summer! So much so that it is getting had to track how many projects are using Julia, so if I missed your project or you know of one, please comment below or PM me and I will get it added to the list!
