VSCode REPL randomly loses connection

Starting today, every few minutes I get this popup error message in the VSCode Julia REPL pane:

Usually it requires me to quit and restart VSCode to continue working. I haven’t figured out how to reproduce this error. Anyone else encounter this?

Maybe unrelated, but my VSCode recently updated:

My version of the Julia language extension is 1.6.30.

You can also upgrade to 1.6.31 on the insiders channel.
