Quite a long time ago I posted a message on this forum asking whether it was possible to rename a registered package (Rename registered package). However, the responses (even in the linked discussions) where scarse.
I was wondering if there is a proper way to do it now that Julia is more stable. Renaming a repository and re-registering a package should work. However, I suppose you’d have to create a repository with the old package name and code in order not to mess up the Julia register - unless there is a way for de-registering a package now.
