Track allocation is not working on windows when the folder has an umlaut (like ä) in its name

On my machine no *.mem files are created in this situation. I am in Windows 10 with julia 0.6.

Can someone possible either “prove me wrong” or confirm the statement in the title?

I used track-allocation=user

I can’t reproduce it on my Linux box. But still, it sounds like you ought to open a bug report.

Thank you.
Well, I still think there is the possibility that I made a mistake on my side somewhere. I will wait until someone with windows confirms my issue.
