Return to same place on discourse page

When browsing discourse (on a phone), a common pattern of mine is clicking a topinc, reading it, and pressing “back” to find other topics. Some pages return you to the same scroll-depth after pressing “back”, but discourse does not. This is a minor annoyance, but it is annoying pretty often.

Would it be possible to make discourse return the user to the previous scroll depth when goig back and forth between topics and the home page?

It does for me, at least when I browse /latest. Maybe a browser issue? (I’m on android Firefox nightly)

I’m using the discourse app on iPhone and have the same issue as OP. When back, the page reloads at the top.

I use the Fig app on an iPhone and it doesn’t do that.
