Registrator.jl says looking up of tree hash failed?

i tried to register my package https://github.com/floswald/MomentOpt.jl/releases/tag/v1.4.0

it says ERROR: Looking up the tree hash failed. what does that mean?

You are linking to a tag which as far as I can see has no relevance for the rest of the post. Where is the invocation to register the package? And where is the error message reported?

I followed instructions here [GitHub - JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl: Julia package registration bot] under how to use. I was here GitHub - JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl: Julia package registration bot and it says to click on this:

https://pkg.julialang.org/registrator/

and follow instructions. clicking further on instructions brings me back here https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl/blob/master/README.web.md#usage-for-package-maintainers

I think I followed all instructions. no invocations mentioned. the error message is displayed in the browser
