Package registration: Git tag already exists and points to a different commit?

I find this response perplexing:

H5Zbitshuffle-v0.1.1 already exists and points to a different commit

As far as I can tell, that tag points to that commit.

Sure there is already a pending pull request that has a merge conflict, but perhaps the bot should something about that id that is the issue.

Anyways, do I need to do anything else here?
