Yes. The capabilities of VSCode + Julia Language Server are very limited if you compare that to a good Python IDE, for example.
UPDATE:
This works fine if you use the Julia REPL:
mkdir plt
cd plt
julia --project="."
import Plots as plt
If you know type plt.<tab><tab> you can see a list of symbols that are exported by the package Plots.
I would launch the normal terminal (preferably bash) in VSCode, and then start Julia typing julia --project. Then everything should work.
That is just in the REPL though right?
It still wouldn’t pop up in VSCode?
In the VSCode editor I get a short list of 10 entries if I type plt. , but the list I get in the REPL is about 100 entries or more.
Just don’t expect VSCode to be able to do these things.
