Hi guys!
I am just wondering how is the process of “cleaning” METADATA.jl. For example, there are some packages that does not even work with Julia v1.0. Is there a policy regarding this? Is it even a problem?

METADATA is used for versions prior to 1.0 - “cleaning” them would break package installation for anyone on older versions.
Eventually, we’re going to move off of METADATA to a general registry (and any number of other registries), but for now I don’t think it matters. Especially because we don’t have to clone METADATA to use it anymore (see the Pkg video from last year’s juliacon).
