LightGraphs.jl was archived yesterday

Why??

Will this have any impact on repositories that use Lightgraphs as dependencies?

Quoting from the README:

Project Status: As of 8 October 2021 LightGraphs is no longer under active development. It will remain available on Github at sbromberger/LightGraphs.jl. The JuliaGraphs organization will continue to maintain packages that use LightGraphs and transition development over the long term.

More information about the reasons behind this can be found here:

Citing from the package readme :

Project Status: As of 8 October 2021 LightGraphs is no longer under active development. It will remain available on Github at sbromberger/LightGraphs.jl. The JuliaGraphs organization will continue to maintain packages that use LightGraphs and transition development over the long term.

The fact that it is archived means that the package is still usable as it is now, but will not be developed anymore.
Apparently, LightGraphs organization still exists, and many of its packages are not archived. I don’t exactly know what is meant by “The JuliaGraphs organization will continue to maintain packages that use LightGraphs and transition development over the long term.”, but apparently, there will still be a form of support.
