Julia 1.14 feature freeze: Monday, October 12, 2026

We have set the feature freeze for Julia 1.14 to Monday, October 12, 2026.

If there are any feature PRs that you’d like to get into Julia 1.14, they’ll need to be merged prior to that date.

EDIT: We extended the freeze to Friday, October 16, 2026. We branched on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

For context, the Julia 1.13 feature freeze was on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Reminder: The 1.14 feature freeze is one week away.

any list of what made it in?

We have delayed the freeze to Friday, October 16, 2026.

Once we’ve branched, I can post a link to NEWS.md, which will contain a list of changes.

Is LLVM 23 going to make it in there?

Possibly, but no promises. It hasn’t been merged yet, but there’s still time, since we’ve delayed the freeze to Friday. So, we shall see.

We have branched 1.14.

You can start looking at NEWS.md to see what made it into 1.14. Disclaimer: NEWS.md is currrently probably incomplete; it’ll likely go through additional changes prior to the 1.14.0 release. With that disclaimer, the (likely incomplete) NEWS.md is here: julia/NEWS.md at release-1.14 · JuliaLang/julia · GitHub
