I added this Julia path to the system PATH variable on my Windows 7 machine

But my terminal does not see it.

C:\Users\Paul\AppData\Local\Julia-1.1.0\bin\julia.exe

You need to add the folder, that is:

C:\Users\Paul\AppData\Local\Julia-1.1.0\bin\

Yup. that worked. What are the recommended editors / IDEs for Julia ? is there a dedicated editor / IDE for Julia ?

There is a list at the bottom of the main Julia page. It’s more comprehensive than what I knew.
