I want to purge my account and delete all the questions I have asked. I don’t really see how to do that. Thanks for any assistance.
Discourse (the software) does not easily allow for all content of a user to be deleted.
That is an intentional design decision since giving users unilaterally the choice of deleting their content would severely disrupt the archival nature of discussions. This also why all edits are tracked.
What I (or any other admin) can do is to “anonymize your account”. Anonymizing Users in Discourse - announcements - Discourse Meta
Which will purge your account details from the system and replace your username with something like “anon1234”.
hey there
thank you for the speedy reply. Please could you anonymize my account. thank you
Could someone please anonymize / purge my account as well?
Thank you.
Out of curiosity, may I ask why? (Of course, you don’t have to answer.)
I imagine for similar reasons as @anon94023334.
Thanks.
The way to do this is to directly contact the @moderators by either private message or a flag. It’s not a user-facing toggle because it’s rather disruptive.
I’m very sad to see you go, but can make this happen for you.
Can I have my account and all my posts deleted from here?
Please do it as soon as you can. I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!
