Failure to add IJulia in Julia 1.50

I am trying to add Jupyterlab to my installation of Julia 1.50. When I type add IJulia inside the package manager, the installation process crashes Julia and takes me back to the Ubuntu shell. The final message is “Illegal instruction (core dumped).” I never had this problem with any of the previous versions. Any ideas?

Please, share your CPU info

• cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep "model name"

there are some documented problems with older CPU ( like AMD Athlon(tm) II X2)
