I realize things will probably break in the transition from 1.5 to 1.6, but I didn’t see anyone reporting an issue like this on GitHub. So, I am just checking whether it is something specific to my case and if there is something I can do.
When trying installing GR this happens:
(@v1.6) pkg> add GR

The artifact in question, LibVPX is autogenerated and doesn’t have issue tracker. GR doesn’t have issue like this reported.
Even more puzzling is when I try to install a package, say Plots, I get the following output before it starts clonig packages:
(@v1.6) pkg> add Plots

I deleted $HOME/.julia
folder and started from scratch in an attempt to clear (possibly corrupted) cache – to no avail.
Is there anything I can do other than sit and wait for the release?
