Discourse has some nice features which I hadn’t been aware of until I figured out how to do the quick interactive tutorials they have. There is a bot which takes you through them.
See the response below to start them (hopefully this works). Instead of spamming the main discussion I sent the command to @discobot via a private message and did the tutorials that way.

I think you’re supposed to click on Discobot’s profile picture, its info will pop up, then click “Message” there and message the command there
