It seems that they will retire the documentation for the Julia version of the Dash library. It seems that this is a setback for the Julia language. They only retire the documentation, they do not seem to stop the development of the Julia version.
I say it here because I think that, perhaps, few people know that this library exist for Julia and just in case anyone feels called to contribute to it.
Thanks for sharing @aasdelat. I think this is an opportunity for active users of Dash.jl to write up and maintain an independent (unofficial) documentation. If you are an active user, that is your chance to help.
It is sad to see this lack of diversity programming-language-wise, but I can understand why the Dash team is doing this. The Julia community has already proven its resilience against the Python fanatics (e.g., first comment), and we need to keep working to educate people about the advantages of Julia for scientific work.
If you decide to take action, and need feedback, please feel free to reach out.
Plotly will not continue developing those non-python versions. But they could be developed by the broad community.
So if I understand correctly they will not develop the julia versions of dash anymore. They stopped with Matlab a while ago as well, several of my few questions on the matlab forum remained unanswered.
I have found this issue opened at the plotly/Dash.jl repository at GitHub, where they are considering to transfer the Dash.jl documentation to that site.
It seems that the Julia version has been developed at the plotly/Dash.jl repository at GitHub and it is the community hat has been developing it. But the latest changes date back two years.
