[ANN] Glyphy.jl

This package looks up Unicode glyph names, it might be useful to some.

I updated Glyphy.jl to 1.5, so it now includes the (silly) additions in Unicode 16.

Oh this is fun! The only thing I feel would make that prettier is a sprinkling of colour :stuck_out_tongue:

Also what database does it use or how does it find similarities?

It uses the list provided by Unicode here.

If an obvious regular expression is input then the search will be for that regular expression in the glyph names.

Of course, if you don’t know what things are called, you’ll not be able to find them. :grinning:(I think shapecatcher.com would be useful then. )

glyphy.jl is now at version 1.8, updated for Unicode version 17.

(although there weren’t many useful additions to Unicode 17, unless you’re a fan of asteroids or Shatranj chess…)
