ADASS 2018: anyone attending?

Hi to everybody,

As Julia is approaching version 1.0, I think it would be nice to propose a talk to the Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems (ADASS) conference, which is going to be held at the University of Maryland in November 2018. Has anybody already submitted a Julia-related abstract? If nobody else is going to do so, I could do it, it would be a nice way to promote Julia and JuliaAstro.

Maurizio.

P.S. Keep in mind that the deadline for abstract submission is June 1st!

Unfortunately I can’t attend, but I would have liked to present my general purpose fitting framework ModelFitting.jl. I’m an astronomer and I’m using it for both spectral fitting and psf fitting on images.

The code is almost ready, but the documentation is far from being completed. Should you be interested in presenting the package and one of its application in astronomy (either spectral or image fitting) let me know…
