Why my VSCode extension is not in the latest version?

I am on Julia v1.10.4 but the VSCode extension version is v1.79.2. I know other people already have version >v1.100, and that is not pre-release.

I sync my VSCode across two devices, one with Linux and another with Windows. Could this be blocking updates?

Did you check the checkbox “Auto Update” ?

I fixed the issue by updating VSCode itself. Old versions of VSCode block updates of the extension.
