The legendary pull request of producing smaller binary executables has been merged to master today. The classical hello world program is about 1.5 mbs and takes nearly 30 msecs to run, whereas a numerical integration of normal distribution (extensive loops) is 1.7mbs and takes nearly 40 msecs.
