Well this may come off as a surprise

Hi everyone,
Hope you all are having one blast of a day
I wanted to leave a short note before taking a bit of a hiatus from the Julia community.
I’m not sure how much of an impact I managed to make here, but I’m genuinely glad I decided to participate. I know some of my conversations may have given people the wrong impression at times. English isn’t my native language, and I’m not always great at writing long or descriptive responses my natural tendency is to reply with one-liners, which can sometimes come across as disinterest or dismissiveness when that really isn’t my intention. Because of that, I’ve occasionally used LLMs to help me express what I actually wanted to say more clearly.
That said, the discussions I’ve had here have generally been warm and enjoyable, even when people had different perspectives. I’m grateful to everyone who took the time to engage with me.
I also really appreciate the people who showed interest in my ThinkDSP package and encouraged me to publish it. That meant a lot, especially since I sometimes wondered whether the projects I was working on were useful to anyone besides myself.
Unfortunately, a few things have come up, and between a busy schedule, deadlines, and other commitments, I need to take a brief hiatus from the Julia community. This isn’t really a goodbye. I still love Julia as a language, and I’ve enjoyed being part of this community. I’d very much like to return and continue contributing when I have the time and headspace to do so properly.
Thanks to everyone I’ve talked with, learned from, and exchanged ideas with. I hope to see you all again soon.
Take care, and keep building cool things
