That’s a rapid fix, thanks so much @juliohm!
This fixed also the on() block blowing up. In addition, I can say that also both versions of combined geometries of France and Spain are plotting swiftly now.

Following your comment on the way I merged the two, what is the best way to join or merge two shapefile geometries? Using vcat on the two GeoTables?

I do have a remaining issue with the ObserverFunction in Makie, but since it is unrelated to Meshes, I will make a new thread for that.

It depends on what you have in mind for the expected result. We have merge, vcat, geojoin, and other operations implemented. Their docstrings should explain the ideas in more detail.
