BTW, in spite of political context, that picture was quite good illustration of current state of AI. Overall, the picture is great, but if you focus on different parts, you see weird things like people with six fingers etc. The same happens with AI weather forecasts, like GraphCast. Overall, forecast has great skill, but if you zoom into certain features, you see some things wrong. That said, AI/ML algorithms are currently very underused in weather/climate forecasts imo and in the future can help to improve forecasts a lot if used properly.
