Turing, Inexacterror for DiscreteUniform distribution, with NUTS sampler

First off, thanks so much to everyone involved in making Turing and Julia great! Can’t stress enough how cool Turing is. Also, apologies if my question is not formatted correctly.

I’v been getting the same inexact error every time I try to use the discrete uniform distribution for priors in my models and sample with NUTS or HMC.Possibly just a silly mistake on my end. Just learning as I go.

I am not an expert here, but I don’t believe that NUTS can be used with discrete variables (like your alpha)

Thanks for the quick reply. This makes sense. I thought I’d seen discrete variables used elsewhere. But I’ve just checked back, and the examples I’d seen were using the Metropolis-Hastings sampler!

You can build a GibbsSampler where you sample alpha with MH and the rest with NUTS
