Sysimage creation process gets OOM killed (out-of-memory)

When I try to create a sysimage with Makie in it (or maybe any other heavy package, Makie’s the only one I’ve noticed), the create_sysimage() call gets to the “Compiling incremental sysimage” stage, then crashes, also exiting the terminal window somehow.

Minimal working example script:
