We are pleased to announce that Steven Lee, Applied Mathematics Program Manager for Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) within the Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Science, will deliver a keynote address at JuliaCon 2019. Dr Lee has led projects on scientific discovery through advanced computing; frameworks, algorithms and scalable technologies for mathematics; and quantification of uncertainty for extreme-scale computations. Steven has previously been a visiting Assistant Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
