REPL flickers when pasting large text

My REPL flickers and is very slow when I paste a large text. I have this issue on Win10 with several Julia versions:

See this issue on GitHub. I do not use OhMyREPL.jl. Any thoughts?

Have you tried to use the new Windows Terminal? Not sure whether that would solve it, but I’ve been very happy with it over the last months.

Same behaviour:

Pasting into the console works fine.
