PhD in Island Macroecology

I’m opening a PhD position in Island Macroecology, at the Center for Macroecology, Evolution and Climate. The position is open to applicants with a relevant degree in Biology, Ecology or Physical Geography. There will be academic freedom for the candidate to develop hers or his individual project, but we’re mainly interested in environmental complexity and species richness on oceanic islands. Methods used will likely include simulation modelling, data analysis and some collection of basic field data.

A motivation to work in Julia, and possibly help develop the EcoJulia set of packages, will be viewed favourably in the assesment. It’s #1 of 8 positions listed in this advert - there’s a link to be taken directly to the application page.
