Permanent researcher position in statistics of stochastic processes at INRAE, Montpellier, France

An INRAE researcher position will be available in the MISTEA (Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics for the Environment and Agronomy) unit in Montpellier (France), focusing on statistics of stochastic processes!

Your mission: to study and implement methods for inferring and calibrating random dynamic models for data from sensors in livestock farming and agriculture. These models correspond to Markov, diffusion, hidden Markov, or deterministic models. You may be required to participate in the estimation of latent variables, such as breaks or mixture structures. The inference of these models may involve optimization, Bayesian statistics, non-parametric statistics, or high-dimensional methods. To improve understanding of agricultural systems and provide digital tools for decision-making, you will contribute to the implementation of algorithms on these topics using appropriate methods in collaboration with MISTEA members.
