Well work is certainly afoot: https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/pull/24142

It might be a solution but the best thing would be to something similar to cudanative as an alternative to write opencl like code. Without the need of Transpiler.jl.

You posted it seconds before I wrote my comment! I didn’t know about this! AMD/Intel where are you? Put a couple of engineers working on this!
