@dilumaluthge, @logankilpatrick, and I have put together a channel called new-packages-feed on the community Slack and Zulip which automatically posts all new package registrations made to the General registry. Thanks to @jling who suggested the idea in the first place.

For package authors: to add release notes to your registration, if you are using the comment bot, the syntax is here: https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl#release-notes, and if you are using JuliaHub, there is a box to enter them: https://juliahub.com/ui/Registrator.
We hope to also soon pull the repo description automatically from GitHub or GitLab and add that for additional context (https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl/pull/349).
