18:30 - 19:30: Jonathan Laurent. Julia for Reinforcement Learning: Challenges and Opportunities
Using the AlphaZero.jl library as a use-case, we explore the opportunities that Julia opens up for reinforcement learning research, whose landscape we argue is being currently shaped by artificial and unnecessary engineering constraints. We also discuss some of the challenges of building general libraries and frameworks for reinforcement learning, both language-agnostic and Julia-specific.
