Hi everyone,
We have some news to share about JuliaCon Local Paris 2025 , and we hope you’ll be as excited as we are!
Call for Proposals
In light of the surge of enthusiasm observed in recent days, we have decided to extend the contribution deadline to May 30th. It is not too late to submit a tutorial, talk, lightning talk or poster! Especially for students or first-time contributors, a poster is a great way to advertise your work or present a new package without too much pressure.

Keynote speakers
It is time to introduce our three confirmed keynote speakers:
- Laura Grigori, Full Professor at EPFL (Switzerland). She is a world-class expert on numerical linear algebra and high-performance computing.
- Ivet Galabova, Development and Integration Manager at HiGHS (Scotland). She’s one of the brains behind a leading open-source optimization solver, which is now the default recommendation in JuMP.jl.
- Tim Besard, Software engineer at JuliaHub (Belgium). He works on compiler tech, and we owe him the great CUDA.jl GPU stack, among other things.
Tickets
If these awesome keynotes make you want to attend, head straight to the ticket shop! We have attractive prices for students, and we are currently ironing out the details of our speaker and diversity funding. Don’t miss the early bird pricing because of procrastination…

Review
Given the quality of the contributions sofar, we will need a motivated team of reviewers to evaluate them. If you’re interested, comment below or reach out to @mbesancon and myself. If you’re still a student and wondering how to review, don’t worry: JuliaCon is a great place to start, and we’ll teach you!
