This is spacemacs, merge is happening everyday, but still 1909 issues and 165 PRs left. Maybe they just don’t think julia matters.
I think the issue is that the core devs of spacemacs are not data scientists and none of them uses julia or R so these layers are too low on their priority list.
It seems that there is finally something happening with the PR.
As of today, the Julia spacemacs layer has been merged to the develop branch of spacemacs. Should be a lot easier to try out now.
First of all, thanks; spacemacs is primary development environment and I’ve been coding mostly Julia lately.
Second, how would exactly would I try out the new layer ? Adding julia
to my dotspacemacs-configuration-layers
doesn’t seem to be working.
I’d like to say thank you as well! I’ve been using it for a couple months now and it’s been great.

branch and have pulled the latest version sometime today.
