From 23rd to 19th place on IEEE Spectrum, and from 22nd to 13th on Trending.

Bonus: try playing with custom rankings to see which languages are top on GitHub.

Maybe restricting to “enterprise” is helpful, so that similar languages are compared. Then it is 17 to 12, or 49% to 56% in the IEEE relative score.

I also find Go’s progress impressive.

A bit out of topic, but what happened to C#? It collapsed from 7th to 23rd place in one year.

Is C# primarily for Windows applications?

Yes, but not exclusively, it has a bunch of other applications (including mobile).
