Julia 0.7.0: Random Messages in REPL

Hi,

I updated to Julia 0.7.0 and is seeing some random debug kind-of messages in REPL. They don’t occur often. If I keep the REPL open for a few hours, these messages appear (randomly).

$ julia

To reproduce:
Just start julia REPL and keep it for a few hours.

I’m observing this in Elementary OS 0.4.1 (Ubuntu 16.04 based).

Any thoughts on why this is happening??

Thanks,

That’s a weird one, but the messages are definitely originating from outside Julia, see for example this issue. Is anything else running that’s attached to that particular terminal?

What terminal are you using? This looks like an error with GNOME shell. See the following AskUbuntu post for an example: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1045214/ubuntu-freezes-desktop

Oops… Seems like some problem with my shell.

I restarted shell and kept julia open for 10hrs now, and there are no problems.
